I would be moving to New Zealand soon so I wanted to get out and see some areas I had not yet explored. The canyoneering Meetup group was hosting a rendezvous in Moab, so I drove out with my buddy Scott for a few days of canyoneering. The canyons around Moab aren’t Utah’s best, but the scenery in Utah is always spectacular, and this was a time where you could still rappel off the massive Corona Arch. This would be the last time I would see some friends for at least a few years while I was abroad, and some I never saw again.
