For my birthday Katie and I drove way the hell out to south eastern Utah in the Cedar Mesa area to meet up with Cody, Steven, and Angie to explore some popular canyons and check out a few excellent ruins and rock art. Utah never fails to impress. Some of the highlights included the drive through Monument Valley; Black Hole of White Canyon; Citadel and Moonhouse ruins; an out and back of Grand Gulch; and best of all Cody and Angie prepared peach cobbler in a cast iron pot and cooked it dutch oven style. It was delicious and a very memorable cherry on top to a lovely few days with great friends.
