It was around this time in my life that I really got into scuba diving – I got certified all the way up to rescue diver. Scuba diving quickly became one of my favorite hobbies. If you are someone who loves to travel and see the world, scuba allows you to explore an entirely alien world in the water. It’s so f*cking cool down there.
This trip was my first international scuba destination outside of local dives around Southern California. Belize/Caye Caulker is generally highly recommended as a scuba destination, but unfortunately I missed out on the famous Blue Hole. No boats were headed there during my few nights stay on the island. I made a stop over in Miami before I made my way to the quiet and lovely white sand beaches of Caye Caulker; enjoyed a few days of boat diving; then capped it off with a stop in Cancun to check out the ruins of Chichen Itza and the famous cenotes.
