Truthfully, Europe probably has a few canyoning Meccas, but Switzerland’s Ticino area just might be the top dog. World class canyons all nestled throughout several stunning valleys, you could spend a month here and hit banger after banger every day. After some sightseeing around Western Europe, my friend Marlen and I drove down from Germany and met up with my buddy Cody, who I met in New Zealand, for some canyoning in Ticino for about 10 days. The hype was absolutely met and then some. A natural waterpark in the truest sense of the word. We were able to descend many of the classics in the area. We all had a lovely time. It never ceases to amaze me the spectacular beauty that the sport of canyoning exposes you to. Breathtaking stuff.
