Back to Ouray, but this time for some ice climbing. What an awesome town. Canyoning in the summer, ice climbing and hot springs in the winter. What more could one ask for? My buddy Cody was having a birthday/New Years celebration and he decided to invite some folks to Ouray to share a hotel room and do some ice climbing for a few days. This was my first time doing some ice climbing and I had a blast. Ouray has an ice climbing park and annual festival where they spray water along a gorge, creating some solid routes ice for climbing. So after a night of drinking and meandering around we’d slowly make our way along the gorge to find spots to set up a top rope, and just climb all day, then off to the hot springs to soak in the evening. This was a damn fun trip.
