Milford Track

This trek is world renown, and for good reason. It is absolutely beautiful. Dense, lush vegetation, big snow capped peaks, long meandering rivers set within long meandering valleys, great views, and waterfalls everywhere. One of my most memorable hikes. It is a hut to hut system, and I think it may have been my first or one of my first multi day hikes. These permits are hard to get and I think I actually reserved it before I even left for New Zealand. Milford is just one of several amazing hikes this country has. NZ really is one of the most naturally beautifully places I have ever been.
