Spain is the best. When it comes to canyoning you could spend every summer there and still never do all its amazing canyons. The Pyrenees range is absolutely stunning. This particular start of the summer I first did some canyons with Katie, then met up with the Sweet Boyz (Scott, Jason, and Ryan), and then we also met up with a couple locals, Joan Haro and my buddy David who I worked with in New Zealand. We spent about a week doing a lot of the popular canyons in the Huesca area – Mascun, Gloces, Gorgonchon, and Sorrosal being a few of my favorites. The trip was marred somewhat from what we think was tainted meat. We were doing canyons, staying at some cabins, and one day some French people had a bunch of leftover meat that they had cooked and gave to us. Cut to a day or two later and all the Sweet Boyz, except for myself, got violently ill. I ate the same meat, so not sure how I escaped unscathed, but the boyz were down for a couple days. We all made the best of it though and still had an amazing trip.
